I'm a Senior citizen...a freaky realization. When did THAT sneak up on me? Lessee, as a card carrying hippie, I hereby decree that you can no longer trust people over 90. It was over 30 back in the 60's but screw that, as a representative of all hippies who made it over the age of 60, I am officially changing the rule.

I was born in Louisiana where I went to school until I was ready for college in 1966. I went north to Chicago where I enjoyed the 60's and made many many friends. I majored in photography and illustration at Chicago Academy of Fine Arts.

I lived about 14 years in the Chicago area and discovered sci fi and media conventions. I've done more and seen more than I ever thought I would see and do. I've met many famous people, many of them movie and tv personalities and in my experience I am ever taken with the friendliness and down home quality of British stars.

My life has had some serious roller coaster style ups and downs. I'm currently in my third year of being single once more. My journal will be a happy if not totally boring place where you will be able to see some of the art and/or jewelry and/or craft projects I'm currently working on. If I'm working on a book, I will put you to sleep with page count reports and gromishing about the characters.

I love cats and live contentedly with 2: 1 of my own and 1 house guest in our cute little apartment in Cutlerville, MI. Yes, I live in Michigan, but hail from the New Orleans area of Louisiana. Now single once more, I find myself missing my roots more than ever, but alas the climate there makes it impossible for me to move back home. Too hot and humid for my athsma.

I enjoy cooking, creating fantasy and horror art and fiction and I'm a dyed in the wool movie buff. I enjoy reading My guilty pleasure is interior decoration. I love to make places interesting and memorable.

I enjoy a good game of Quelf with a crazy group of friends. Favorite games include: Scrabble, Scene It, Dominos Mexican Train, Texas Holdem, King's Court, Nawlins Monopoly, Goth, Trivial Pursuit -- have the Lord of the Rings Edition, Parchisi, Uno, Jenga, Phase 10, Farkle, various card games, and too many more to list.

I enjoy reading horror, fantasy ad sci fi, but I have a great weakness for mysteries too. Am currently reading the books of Harlan Coben, a very talented mystery writer with an awesome understanding of streetspeak and a wicked sense of humor.

I am a Steampunk, more specifically a Steamgoth. I have a well-honed interest in time travel, having been into movies and books about it since I was a child. Hence my persona is a time traveling widowed professor and writer. I am happy to have found this particular subculture because it fits me like a velvet glove.

I am an avid fan of Tim burton. Goth Kid Does Well, that should be the name of his biography. What an amazing and wonderful mind.

I was born into the wrong time. But that's okay, I'll just hop in my trusty TimeBender and take a vacation. Great thing for decorating, time travel, makes for an eclectic household. LOL.
